This study aims to perform a bibliometric analysis of documents published in the field of Public Administration during the years 1923-2020. In this bibliometric study, all Web of Science (WOS) databases were used to retrieve the publications in this field. Using a proper search strategy, 93093 records were retrieved in the WOS database from 1923 to 2020. Excel and VOSviewer software were used for bibliometric analysis and visualization of documents. The findings show that 64.31% of documents (59860 documents) were articles; most documents were published in the Public Administration Review-Journal (n= 9011). The United States (with 31930 documents), ENGLAND (with 14636 documents), and Canada (with 7104 documents) published the most documents in this field, respectively. The University of Birmingham was the most productive institution (n=1,441, 1.54 %). Meier, K. J. S was the most productive author (n= 119, 0.12%). Keywords with the highest frequency were "management", "governance", "government", "policy", "performance", "politics", "state", and "organizations". The most co-occurrence keywords existed within three clusters, the first including keywords related to policy issues, the second including author keywords about management and performance, and the third including keywords related to state and local management. The global trend of publications in the field of Public Administration has been upward, from 54 documents in 1923 to 4561 documents in 2020. This study not only presents a full view of global Public Administration research but also can contribute to future research in this field and bibliometric studies.

Bibliometric analysis of different fields of knowledge leads to a better understanding of the trend and quality of scientific products. The present study examined the publications on Altmetrics through bibliometric analysis and knowledge mapping. In this survey research, using quantitative indicators of scientometric, scientific developments in the field of altmetrics have been evaluated. The study population included all articles in the field of altmetrics (1077 documents) indexed in the Scopus database from the beginning to the end of 2020. The Excel and VOSviewer software packages were used to analyze the data. The findings show that scientific products in the field of altmetrics indexed in Scopus have been published since 2012; the quantitative trend of publications has been upward; Most of the scientific products in the field of altmetrics were original articles and in English. The United States, the United Kingdom, and Spain were the top and most productive countries in publishing documents in the field. Iran was ranked ninth with 52 documents. Regarding the number of publications, the University of Wolverhampton, the Administrative Headquarters of the Max Planck Society, and Leiden University were ranked first to third, respectively. Thelwall, M., with 42 articles, Bornmann, L., with 32 articles, and Haunschild, R., with 25 articles, were the most active authors. The most frequently used keywords were "Altmetrics", "bibliometrics" and "Social media". The highest number of documents in the field of Altmetrics has been published in the journal "Scientometrics". The most cited author was Thelwall, M., with 2691 citations. Due to the upward trend of scientific publications in Altmetrics and the beginning of its way, this upward trend will continue. Also, most of the top authors in the field are from universities and countries active in this field.

Illiteracy can be a significant obstacle to any given country's economic and social development. Hence, exploiting the potential of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) can help solve this problem by creating proper solutions for the illiterate and low-literate population. This study provides search and retrieval strategies for Iran's illiterate or low-literate population by designing an appropriate website. The research method in this study is mixed. A total of 65 individuals were selected using the snowball sampling method. First, by designing qualitative research of ethnographic type, we examined the critical information needs of the research sample. After equalizing the process and information needs, a website was created for the research sample and was provided to them. The designed website does not require human assistance to search for information. In addition, the website uses graphic and audio content related to local culture and language. ISO-9241-11 standard was used to evaluate the performance of the website designed in the research. Furthermore, it examines the characteristics of participants, i.e., gender, and previous experience of using computers and mobile phones on the website's usability. Since the present study population was low-illiterate and illiterate, the research time to prepare them to answer the questions was very long. The results revealed considerable effectiveness, efficiency and satisfaction with the website among the participants. Moreover, the gender variable did not affect how they use the website and their inclination in this respect. Providing the services required by this group of users in any way, including appropriate cyberspace, increasing literacy rates and meeting the information needs of this group at a far lower cost than traditional education, can be taken into account as one of the requirements of governments. The current study is the first experimental research to measure the needs and create suitable tools for using the virtual world on the part of low-literate and illiterate people in Iran.https://dorl.net/dor/20.1001.1.20088302.2022.20.4.16.5

As one of the main bibliometric concepts, co-authorship has been thoughtfully considered in recent years. Despite many bibliometric studies on the co-authorship in different scientific fields and worldwide countries/regions, Iranian researchers' collaboration in the management field has not been studied. This study aimed to investigate the co-authorship networks in the management papers contributed by Iranian researchers indexed in the Web of Science (WoS) during the recent half-century (years, 1969-2018). Bibliometric data on 5414 papers were extracted from WoS and analyzed in Excel, UCINET, and VOSviewer to measure bibliometric indicators, the map needed co-authorship networks, and depict time-based maps and keyword clustering. Findings showed that co-authored papers increased from two items in 1973 to 721 items in 2018. Expert Systems with Applications, African Journal of Business Management, and International Journal of Production Research were ranked first to third in co-authored papers. Top 20 authors published about 17% of papers (946). Islamic Azad University, University of Tehran, and the Amirkabir University of Technology ranked first to third. Most co-authorship frequencies were made from 2012 to 2014. The first to third ranks of collaborating countries were the USA, Canada, and England. Six main keyword clusters were formed, including main topics in the field. In conclusion, Iranian researchers increasingly co-authored in management, especially during the last decade, and published in various journals that some top ones are prestigious journals. However, some gaps need to be bridged by the low contribution of research institutes and universities countrywide and the limited number of authors with high productivity and low collaboration with neighbor countries and influential universities worldwide.https://dorl.net/dor/ 20.1001.1.20088302.2022.20.1.19.2

This article examines availability and half-life of URLs cited in articles published by Information Research journal. To do this, at first, we extracted all issues of Information Research from April 1995 to March 2008 and calculated number of all citations whether printed citations or Web ones. Afterwards, we checked availability of individual cited URLs. When we could not access directly URL inserted in any article by author(s), we tried to visit referred website. If this attempt seemed to be inadequate, search engine "Google" was employed to access the missing reference(s). Research findings indicated that 66% of articles have Web citations and rate of articles containing URL has increased from 17% in 1995 to 89% in 2008. Domains .net and .org have more stability and persistence compared to domains .edu, .gov, .uk and .com. Also, of 1761 cited URLs, 73% were accessible, and 27% were inaccessible. It is notable that using Google and searching missing URLs, accessible URLs increased from 73% to 86%. Finally, it was recommended that the best solution to prevent decay or disappearance of Web citations and diminish URLs decay is to make use of WebCite®-enhanced reference.
