The role of information technology (IT) in shaping tomorrow’s operations is a distinctive one. The Internet is a pervasive phenomenon and it is commonly believed that the Internet and its inherent distributed capabilities lead to decentralized views. They have had profound effects on organizational structure, because organizations can gain enormous location flexibility in various activities. While the Internet has overcome distance and organizations they now have to deal with different combinations of physical and electronic spaces and places. The challenge for companies in information markets is the shift from physical to electronic infrastructures. Many researchers believe that current models of organizational structure fail to meet the challenges of the information age. Researchers believe that the traditional hierarchy has outlived its usefulness and that new organizational models are needed and that IT lies at the heart of these new models for next century. The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the Internet impacts on organizational structures and identify imperatives for new emerging forms of organizations in the light of IT advances.

Although some researchers do not doubt the effectiveness of user participation in MIS success, research findings show that such relationships is not consistent under all circumstances. The present paper investigates the relations between user participation, on MIS success in light of the managerial styles over systems growth stages. Six product-oriented companies were elected which had a minimum condition of having 1000 employees and have been experiencing MIS for at least 5 years. A sum of 48 managers and 55 users in MIS department were selected to answer four standard questionnaires. The results showed that 1) only user participation were affected in the system development stage, 2) there was no effect of managerial styles on user participation and systems success, 3) managerial styles, user participation and systems success differ in MIS growth stages and finally 4) the relationships and systems success differ over MIS growth stages.

Information Technology (IT) in recent years has become the major part of profitability, in industry, economy and cultures, where, IT has accounted for 60% of the industry in 2002. In the new millennium, Information Technology (IT) comes out very effectively and is becoming evident in both developed and developing countries. These areas especially within the fields of information gathering strengthen networks in the broadest sense. Moreover, E-transformation has become a silent revolution. The frenzy of the dotcom years has gone, but the quiet work of harnessing the Internet to derive efficiencies in both business and government, if anything, has intensified. The Internet offers solutions to the twin priorities in these harsher economic times: saving costs and reaching customers. In this article we will explain Electronic Customer Relationship Management and its impact on petrochemical industry, and we will suggest necessary recommendations for use of this important aspect of IT.

This paper examines the usefulness of the Auditing Organization for the auditing profession from the point of view of the Scientific Board Members of Accounting groups of public universities, Master of Science courses and Ph.D. students of Accounting at public universities, Financial Managers of active companies in the Tehran Stock Exchange and the mangers of private Auditing Institutes. The results of our investigation show that privatization of auditing services in Iran by the Auditing Organization was not suitable for the auditing profession, since it may cause an increase in auditing costs and prevent the development of audited and private auditing institutes and results in a decrease of institutional responsiveness to society. In addition, Auditing Organization has no effect on suitable usage of economic resources by audited companies and recovery of their internal accounting control system.

By winter 2003 the Regional Library of Science and Technology (RLST) successfully completed the design and implementation of the Full-Text Database on Persian Electronic Journals. The main objective was to facilitate easy access to articles embodied in Persian journals without requiring the physical presence of the users. Small and medium-size libraries of Iran as well as those of other countries encounter ample problems and difficulties in their endeavor to add all the issues of a given journal to their holdings. This point clearly asserts that the existence of such a database can function a really important role in society. Due to the existence of the whole set of issues and volumes of different journals, this database will act as an invaluable source of Persian journals in the near future. In this article, foremost the term electronic journal will be defined. Steps will then be taken to design and implement the database.

This study attempts to investigate the information-seeking behavior of specialists, residents and interns at the hospitals of Ahvaz University of Medical Sciences, Iran. The data were collected through a questionnaire completed by 114 respondents. The research findings revealed that the three groups used informal channels (i.e. conferences) in order to obtain specific as well as general information to keep abreast with progress in medicine. Though specialists, residents and interns reported similar information seeking behaviors, their experiences vary significantly. Personal problems in keeping abreast with progress in medicine were related to time constrain and lack of familiarity with using information sources. Moreover, for all three groups, organizational or non-personal problems involved poor quality of collections and inadequate number of books as well as their out-of-dateness.

In this paper, we propose space-time block codes based on constituent intersectant orthogonal designs. After channel model is formulated, we studied the space-time block codes from constituent intersectant orthogonal designs. At last we made simulations for the space-time block codes from complex orthogonal design and the space-time block codes from constituent intersectant orthogonal design to compare their performance. Compared with space-time block codes from complex orthogonal design when code rate is the same and transmission rate is fixed, space-time block codes from constituent intersectant orthogonal design with more transmit antennas can reduce bit error rate and symbol error rate, and these new codes have the same low decoding complexity as the space-time block codes from complex orthogonal designs.
